Post Superbowl Mock Draft 2/15/22

The Postseason is now here which means one thing...…. Mock Drafts every week! It doesn't matter if you were a fan of the Jacksonville Jaguars or or the Los Angeles Rams, in the offseason, every fan base is able to be optimistic about their team. so without further ado, here is my first mock draft of the official offseason.

  1. Ikem Ekwomu, OT NC State

Protect your franchise QB! I don't care if it's Evan Neal from Alabama or Ikem Ekwomu from NC State. Either way you need a blindside protector. I think Ekwomu has more upside and that is why he is my selection.

2. Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE Michigan

The lions need help everywhere other than offensive tackle. The hometown kid, Aidan Hutchinson plays a premium position and plays it at an extremely high level. No brainer here.

3. Kyle Hamilton, S Notre Dame

Like Detroit, Houston also has a ton of holes. I could see them trying to trade back to a QB hungry team but, with this draft being relatively weak at the QB position, I think they should just take the best player available (BPA). That player is the swiss army knife, Kyle Hamilton. A freak athlete, who can line up all over the defense, he will be a nightmare for opposing offensive coordinators to scheme against.

4. Evan Neal, OT Alabama

Evan Neal could go #1 overall and no one would blink an eye. Neal has a "first guy off the bus" type of body but still has the athleticism to match up against the fastest edge rushers in the SEC. He can line up at left or right tackle so the Jets will place him at RT to pair him with Mekhi Becton, who is coming back from injury, to secure a pocket for the 2021 #2 pick Zach Wilson.

5. Kayvon Thibodeaux, EDGE Oregon

I'm hearing Thibodeaux might fall outside of the top 5 because of teams concerned about his interests outside of football. He is a freak athlete and would most likely be an All-Pro football player, if that's what he wants to do. Just don't be surprised if David Ojabo from Michigan or Jermaine Johnson from FSU are selected in front of him in April.

6. Trevor Penning , OT Northern Iowa

One of the biggest risers from the senior bowl, Penning was challenging every Defensive linemen and winning the majority of the time. He's a dog and wanted everyone to know it..... I think he succeeded.

7. Malik Willis, QB Liberty

Brian Daboll takes over as the head coach of the New York Giants this offseason and said he could work with Daniel Jones. Maybe he can, coming from Buffalo where he turned Josh Allen into an elite QB. I still think he would benefit more hitching himself to Malik Willis over Daniel Jones. At the Senior Bowl, Willis showed off his wheels and his ability to make off platform throws that only a handful of QB's in the League today can make.

8. Charles Cross, OT Mississippi State

9. Jermaine Johnson, EDGE Florida State

10. Sauce Gardner, CB Cincinnati

11. Kenny Pickett, QB Pittsburgh

Reports were that they would be willing to part with pick 11 for Jimmy G.

12. Jordan Davis, IDL Georgia

13. Travon Walker, EDGE Georgia

14. Derek Stingley, CB LSU

15. Tyler Linderbaum, IOL Iowa

16. David Ojabo, EDGE Michigan

17. Trent McDuffie, CB Washington

18. Chris Olave, WR Ohio State

19. Andrew Booth Jr, CB Clemson

20. Desmond Ridder, QB Cincinnati

21. Nakobe Dean, LB Georgia

22. Jameson Williams, WR Alabama

23. Roger McCreary, CB Auburn

24. George Karlaftis, EDGE Purdue

25. Kenyon Green, IOL Texas A&M

26. Treylon Burks, WR Arkansas

27. Drake London, WR USC

28. Daniel Faalele, OT Minnesota

29. Zion Johnson, IOL Boston College

30. Devin Lloyd, LB Utah

31. Nicholas Petit-Frere, OT Ohio State

Bengals last 22 drop backs, Burrow was sacked 7 times.

32. Matt Corral, QB Ole Miss
